Résumé

Throughout the word catastrophic events such floods, rail derailment and fires in senior homes have unfortunately affected many people over the age of 65. Some of these people suffered serious injuries, other feared for their lives, and unfortunately, many of them were unable to deal with the dangers. The purpose of this article is to highlight the prominent facts of a scientific literature review on the factors that make seniors vulnerable to disaster and those who project them at greater risk than younger adults to die, to suffers injuries, not to receive enough assistance and support from public authorities or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) and to develop post-disaster health problems.
